Saigon’s developing night scene is true testimony to Vietnam’s rapid development in recent years. Hip and trendy establishments, catering to both the young and the young at heart are spreading throughout Saigon like wildfire. While most of the more well known nightspots are have set up shop within district 1 and district 3, many smaller (but not less ‘happening’) hangouts have also been sprouting out in the other parts of the city. As a tourist, you are recommended to visit the more well-established clubs for safety reasons.
Most of the night clubs charge less than 10USD for entry, which is likely to include one free drink. And contrary to popular beliefs, many of these clubs actually measure up to the best party joints in Bangkok, Singapore, and Hong Kong. So for the most hardcore party animals, here are some of the best places to visit for a wild night out.
VELVET BAR

You will be hard pressed to find another club as extravagantly furnished as The Velvet. It is of no wonder then, that most of the biggest events Saigon are held right here on its floors. With most of its clientele being celebrities and the upper echelons of society, The Velvet has carved itself a reputation as being the place to be and to be seen. And if that does not count as a good enough reason for you to be here, how about gyrating to Hip Hop, R&B and RAP with the most beautiful people in Saigon? Bounce is not a large club, but it is one Saigon’s youths favorite hangout places.
