La Fenêtre de Soleil (Sun Window)
2nd Floor, 135 Le Thanh Ton str., D1, HCMC
Owned by popular Japanese fashion designer, Takayuki Sawamura, this café is a hidden gem tucked away neatly in a beautiful corner in Saigon. Located in an apartment block with a rickety staircase, everything changes when you get up to the second floor. Described as the ‘haven’ for advertising professionals, many swear by this joint to help inspire their creativity. You would not expect to find an old iron bed with a mosquito-net and a table made from a rust window sitting comfortably as neighbours in a café, but when they all come together, the whole setting is magically transformed. Opened during office hours from 1130 to 1900.
