Translation help

Hi everyone , this is my first post . need some help in translation from english to vietnamese . Trying to explain to my girlfriend that i'm having university examination but she cant understand .

I told her i'm having Thi , she say it's not a vietnamese words and she got pissed off with me .

Can someone help me translate this phrase.

ôn thi means 'examinations' yes?

"Examination" is a noun. It means "kì thi"
"Ôn thi" is a verb so it means "revise for the exam" or " prepare for the exam" (need a verb such as "revise, review or prepare" is better)

thanks for the reply guys . anyway i would like to pickup vietnamese language but dont really know where to start from? can anyone give me some ideas on where to start from?
